Massive Testing Before Olympic Games


The International Association of Athletics Federations has done 2211 doping tests before the Olympic Games in London.

 

The numbers from the IAAF Doping Control Programme - as of end June 2012 is as follows: In-competition testing: 846 urine tests (including 424 EPO analyses) Pre-competition testing: 549 Blood Passport tests mainly for haematological profiling and also endocrine screenings (for the Athletes Biological Passport) Out-of-competition testing: 816 urine tests including 432 EPO analyses and 50 IRMS analyses Athletes Registered Testing Pool, currently includes 554 athletes from 43 Member Federations, for the IAAF out-of-competition testing programme.
