On Sunday November 13 the Australian national team had to withdraw from the competition. The nation was not told by the organizer to withdraw. Rather it was because the national team had seven athletes suspended because of anti-doping rule violations and therefor was not able to field a team against Afghanistan. According to the French News Agency AFP, kabaddi players from Canada, Britain, the United States, Norway, Spain and India have been among those to have failed drug tests.
